hVIVO are currently looking for a Research Nurse to be part of the Medical Team based in London. In addition to undertaking Clinical Trials hVIVO also undertakes Research & Development studies around Asthma and other conditions affecting the Respiratory system. Overall Job Purpose Provision of nursing support and duties within a clinical research framework. Supporting a multi-disciplinary team including physicians and research specialists to provide robust, GCP compliant data whilst ensuring the safety and wellbeing of the subjects taking part in the studies. Main Responsibilities Support Clinical Support Specialists in performing clinical assessments as per protocol; Perform nurse specific procedures as identified within the protocol; Performs informed consent procedures as identified in the study protocol; Completion of study related documents e.g. logs, source data and CRFs; Maintain subject safety at all times responding to emergencies as per internal SOP and national guidelines and protocols; Monitoring and identification of the deteriorating subject, with appropriate escalation; Responsibility for the supervision of clinical staff in the screening unit as delegated by the Senior Research Nurse; Identification of areas for service improvement; Promotes a high standard of practice and care at all times; and Any other duties as delegated by the Senior Research Nurse. Skills and Experiences Nursing Degree/RGN Certificate of Intermediate Life Support Valid NMC Registration Excellent communication skills, written and verbal Ability to work to tight deadlines under pressure Ability to prioritise own workload hVIVO is a rapidly growing UK life sciences company pioneering the Human Viral Challenge platform and using it to understand the molecular basis of the human host response to respiratory viral infection to drive the discovery of new drug targets and biomarkers for next generation therapeutics.
