Account Manager - Med Comms
My client is an international medical communications agency which currently has an opportunity for an Account Manager to join their team in their Cheshire offices. This is a well-established company which has enjoyed sustained growth and which is regularly recognised for their creative and innovative work. The company has a broad client list and consequently has a diversity of global, international and domestic accounts. The Account Manager (AM) is responsible for assisting the Account Director and wider project teams to proactively manage and deliver selected projects to budget, schedule and agreed specification, to achieve the client’s objectives and surpass their expectations. Our client offers services across the medical communications spectrum encompassing both print and innovative digital formats. Responsibilities: Be the day to day contact for the client on assigned accounts Participate in client meetings and input into project contact reports Contribute to team meetings, provide project feedback and prepare action plans Liaise with Editorial, Events, Project Support and Studio to prioritise workload Contribute to business proposals as required and prepare appropriate costings Liaise with suppliers to obtain competitive quotes and outsource print and materials as required Select and brief third party suppliers/ freelancers Prepare appropriate specification and cost estimates for all new projects with input from team members as appropriate Monitor project status throughout its duration and communicate to client where necessary and in particular if the specification changes Prepare and send status reports on a regular basis to client/internal team Attend client meetings wherever possible and appropriate (i.e. status meetings) Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Life Science Degree Experience of account management gained in a medical communications agency or pharmaceutical marketing environment Be proactive in communications with client and team Be organised with good prioritisation and time management skills Team player ID Search & Selection has been successfully placing candidates in healthcare communications jobs for over 15 years.
