Our client is an established international medical education agency providing innovative, high-quality and effective healthcare communications. Due to continued success and growth they are seeking a Director of Client Services to join their London or Cheshire offices, where you will be part of a global network of offices staffed by highly talented individuals who can deliver on a global scale or a local level and across a broad spectrum of therapy areas. As the Director of Client Services you will be responsible for working as part of the management team to ensure that the agency’s vision and strategic business goals are achieved. As a leader and motivator, you will set service standards, support business development and drive the cultural identity of the agency. This position has overall responsibility for the performance of Client Services with full financial responsibility for all accounts, including forecasting. In addition, you will forecast headcount and ensure efficient operational allocation of resources, as well as supporting the ongoing development and training of staff. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: A life sciences degree or ideally a Master’s or PhD Significant consultancy experience (medical affairs and commercial), strategic operational management, and financial experience gained in a medical education or communication agency environment Proven ability to work as part of a senior management team to develop business plans, set staffing levels and service standards Ability to direct staff strategically, so that business, operational and service objectives are met Experience in strategic communication and launch planning, key message development etc. Broad scientific and therapeutic exposure with excellent scientific and project management competency Experience of line managing and directing senior Client Services staff and acting as an agency leadership figure by setting standards and championing agency values and culture A track record of leadership of new business proposals and pitches from scientific and commercial perspectives ID Search & Selection has been successfully placing candidates in healthcare communications jobs for over 15 years.
