Our client, an award-winning PR and medical communications agency, and is seeking an Account Director / Senior Account Director to join their team in Central London. This role will be at the forefront of creating and delivering innovative global health and wellness campaigns for prescription medicines. You will be accountable for client relationships and will be aware of the status of that client business at all times. You will direct your team effectively whilst ensuring that their professional development needs are taken into account when allocating work. You will also play an active role in business development, proactively looking for new opportunities and leading efforts to secure them. Account Management: Lead and direct account activities for assigned accounts Maintain clarity around strategy and supporting this in others Proactively working with your clients to share and act on new information; to inject fresh thinking into an account or project; to seek feedback from their senior management. Always working within evolving EFPIA/ABPI and other national Codes of Practice Establishing yourself as someone who can provide sound advice on all communications challenges, proactively developing relationships across the client Business Development: Involvement in new business development from programme writing to pitching; spotting and acting on new opportunities including new offers and specific client-related opportunities; sensing where there are gaps and providing solutions Financial: Working with the finance team to identify/pre-empt and act on wider financial issues and coaching others on compliance with client Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Life Science / Communications degree Significant previous experience of running ethical PR accounts gained in an agency environment Experience of line managing more junior members of a team Excellent communications skills; written, oral, presentational Excellent organisation and time management Excellent attention to detail ID Search & Selection has been successfully placing candidates in healthcare communications jobs for over 15 years.
