Medical Writer / Senior Medical Writer
Here is an opportunity to join an independent and friendly medical communications agency as a Medical Writer / Senior Medical Writer and be based in their London or Kent offices. The role is to undertake the writing and editorial development of a broad range of global account projects, facilitating the completion of these projects from first draft through to final deliverable, and liaising with other teams both internally and externally as required. Responsibilities: Undertake the writing and editorial development of projects on assigned accounts Structure, write, edit and proofread a broad range of materials, ensuring accuracy and appropriate referencing Provide scientific support at congresses and meetings, undertaking associated travel as required Review the work of more junior members of the team as required Adhere to review and QC processes (and client review processes as required) to ensure quality, accuracy and compliance of written deliverables Contribute to the accurate development of editorial budgets Complete the written aspects of projects on time, to the clients brief and within budget Liaise with the client as required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Life science degree, preferably higher degree Previous medical writing experience gained within an agency environment Experience of writing a wide range of medical communications materials Excellent attention to detail Customer service orientated Previous experience of coaching or line management of more junior members of the team Good planning and organisational skills Good communicator Team player An ideal role for writers with a personalised, service-orientated and ethical approach to their writing.
