With the two hospitals combined they boast 10 operating theatres, 8 Cath Labs, 500 beds catering to a range of specialties including; surgery-cardiac and thoracic, respiratory, cardiology, paediatric, ICU, PICU, day case and transplant. They also provide oncology treatment both adult and paediatric, specialising in the heart and lungs.

Reporting into senior staff and the ward manager you will be responsible for planning and delivering appropriate care for admissions and discharges to the unit. You will have an innate ability to quickly identify any issues or concerns and act accordingly. Working as part of the team you will be competent across Venepuncture, Cannulation and Phlebotomy, carrying out these tasks on a daily basis while maintaining a safe environment for patients under your care. You will also be assigned other ad hoc duties as required by senior members of staff.
Working hours are days, nights and weekends on a rotational basis.
To be considered for this role you would have:
Registered General Nursing Degree
ICU experience is desirable however candidates with a strong passion to develop ibn this field can be offered training.
Adapt easily to a team dynamic
Attention to detail and ability to work well under pressure
Excellent communication skills
