Due to business growth, our client, an international medical communications agency, has an opportunity for a Medical Writer / Instructional Designer to join their learning agency and be based in either their London or Cheshire offices. They work on behalf of global pharmaceutical clients creating educational and learning materials which are delivered as both classroom based and remote learning modules. They deliver projects for a range of audiences throughout the pharmaceutical product life cycle, providing bespoke solutions for their clients’ needs. Responsibilities: Research and create healthcare-related content to support learning projects Write a range of content suitable for audiences including healthcare professionals, pharmaceutical industry employees, patients and carers Apply an understanding of web-based/e-learning authoring approaches and instructional methodologies to create effective learning content Work within a team to develop creative approaches to deliver written, graphical and multi-media materials and communicate ideas effectively Maintain the very highest standards in the creation and review of content Work with the wider team to support the creation of business development proposals Work effectively, professionally and proactively with client contacts Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Minimum BSc / MSc in an appropriate scientific degree; PhD preferred. Experience of medical writing / instructional design gained within a medical communications or related pharmaceutical environment Experience in creating scientific written content Ability to rapidly review scientific materials and to identify key messages/learning points Advanced proficiency in scientific English High level of enthusiasm for science and healthcare-related topics Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to comprehend clients’ needs and ensure that these are met Team player who is able to work effectively with colleagues and share workload Ability to prioritize and work to tight deadlines Interest in learning theory and digital communications Appreciation of good design Flexible and proactive in nature There is plenty of room for development in this role and the continuing growth of the company allows for career progression based upon your contribution.
