Will you join us in our pioneering adventure?About the Role We are currently recruiting 2 Medical Affairs Specialists to join UCB's Medical & Business Integrity Team based in Slough, UK. These roles are pivotal in providing high quality medical affairs support in UCB's therapeutic areas of interest, namely Neurology, Immunology and Bone. As well as close-working with key stakeholders, the roles will offer second-line support to the initial medical enquiry service provided as part of UCBCares and active involvement in approval of promotional materials to comply with the relevant codes of practice. The roles are broad in nature and include Medical Affairs responsibility for Established Brands and support for compliance-related activities as part of the Business Integrity function.Your Responsibilities Respond to technical medical questions from healthcare professionals and internal customers by presenting high quality information using in-house and external sources. Develop and maintain specific expertise for specialist products and assume responsibility for the provision of medical information support for these (primarily across Neurology, Immunology and Bone therapeutic areas). As well as the management of medical information enquiries for mature products, and across other therapeutic areas. Work collaboratively with the relevant brand teams and provide strategic scientific input. Participate in the global medical information team in the development of global content for products and ensure the content is reviewed and updated regularly. Assist in maintaining departmental databases and standard response documents. Support the first line medical information service and out of hours vendor by providing product expertise and training. Coach and mentor staff on Medical Information systems and assist in product and therapy area training of other UCB staff including Sales, Marketing and Medical personnel. Handle adverse event reports and product Contribute and champion high standards to the review and approval of both promotional and non-promotional material produced in support of marketed products in accordance with the ABPI/PAGB/IPHA Codes of Conduct. About You You should have a university degree in a life science or pharmacy discipline or the equivalent as well as experience of medical information in the pharmaceutical industry or a hospital setting Have assimilated, reviewed and communicated medical and technical product information to external and internal customers. Have worked collaboratively with other members of the Medical department as well as Marketing and Sales Business Units, Pharmacovigilance and other groups The ability to prioritise workload in a busy, professional environment.
