Our client is a leading medical communications agency which is seeking an Account Manager to join their team in either their London or Cheshire offices. The Account Manager (AM) will lead, manage and proactively develop accounts so that the aims and goals of the client and the agency are met. This will involve developing a strong client relationship and effective management of resources to ensure good teamwork and that company standards are maintained. Client Management: Day to day management of assigned accounts, to be central contact Able to develop strong relationships with clients and provide timely and appropriate advice Demonstrate knowledge of therapeutic area, market, audience and key messages Able to lead project status meetings Take and communicate client brief and work with account team to ensure client requirements and overall objectives are met Able to work with international thought leaders on educational programmes providing clear and timely communication Overall financial responsibility including written proposal, budgeting, monitoring of budgets, timely invoicing, provision of invoice tracker etc. Delivery: Excellent project management and organisational skills to ensure projects are on time, on budget and on message Clear written communication with client and internal team (e.g. proposals, status reports) Set up and drive processes to enable team deliver agreed financial targets in an effective manner Proactive and service orientated, aims to exceed client expectation Team Management: Manage self and staff development including mentoring, coaching and training as required Manage team capacity and responsibilities Ensure clarity of responsibility for each team member Input into performance grading, appraisals and objective setting Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Educated to degree level in a life science Previous experience of account management within a medical communications agency or similar environment Knowledge of Osteoporosis or Oncology therapy areas would be an advantage Confident and decisive Takes ownership of projects and drives projects Team player Problem solving/diplomacy Flexible approach Strong influencing and negotiating skills Organised and disciplined Creative Excellent verbal and written communication For more information call Jon Gawley on 01932 797996.
