TTM Healthcare is working with a quality Nursing Home client looking for a Clinical Lead to join the team at their location near Rushden in Northamptonshire.

We are looking to recruit a fantastic clincal lead nurse who is happy to assist us with enabling vulnerable and elderly people to live a meaningful life. We are looking for a nurse, who wants to be an integral part of the team, and who will be part of, and embrace moving the home from a CQC rating of Good- to Outstanding. Day to Day Responsibilities

Leading a team of Registered Nurses to ensure the highest standards of care are delivered to our residents at all times whilst working within the company's policies and procedures.

To ensure all nursing practices are evidence based and reflect current trends

Work with the Home manager and other trained nurses in assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating quality nursing care complete with person centred care plans

Administering and documentation of medication given to residents

Supervise and train care assistants

Delivery of care to service users in line with CQC/Health and Social Care Act

Management Responsibilities

To take the lead within the home for all clinical tasks and decisions under the direction of the Home Manager

To assist the Home Manager in all aspects of the day to day running of the home on a 24 hour basis, including on-call

With the Manager and Deputy ensure all care plans are updated and evaluated at least every calendar month

Promoting the overall well-being of service users by ensuring they have access to all outside agencies (i.e. dentist) and maintain contact with their families and friends

To complete FNC referrals and CHC screening as required and submit same to relevant agencies

Assist with the management and supervision of the nursing team, completing all action plans and ensuring care plans are updated and evaluated regularly.

Knowledge, Experience & Requirements

At least three years up to date evidence based clinical knowledge in relation to residents cared for within an elderly nursing home

At least one years experience of managing a small nursing team

A good understanding of the role and function of an elderly nursing home

Effective communication at appropriate levels with all residents, relatives, staff, other professionals and outside agencies involved in the care of the service users

Working knowledge of Safeguarding, the Mental Capacity Act, and DoLS.

Professional Requirements

Flexible approach to working hours, including working weekends and on call

Hold a current valid NMC pin number

In-house training will be provided
