The theatres is a day-case unit and comprises of 2 fully integrated laminar flow operating theatres, 8 recovery bays, and discharge lounge. The hospital specialises in Orthopaedics, ENT, Plastics, Gynaecology, Cosmetics, Ophthalmic and more.
As the Senior Recovery/Ward Practitioner, you will responsible for the total nursing care of individual patients within the recovery/ward area and ensure specific criteria is adhered to before discharging patients. In addition to this, you will also actively contribute to the maintenance of an environment that is conducive to the delivery and promotion of a high standard of patient care.
Duties & Responsibilities
Ensure all staff check and prepare equipment prior to use and any faults reported to the appropriate personnel immediately.
Ensure infection control is maintained by professional and departmental policy, ANTT, and the maintenance of a clean working environment,
To develop and maintain effective working relationships with Consultants and other health professionals and to ensure that prescribed treatment is carried out.
Participate fully as a team member, including working in all areas of the theatre suite, sharing knowledge and information and supporting colleagues, to promote a cohesive team and the achievement of team objectives.
To provide leadership, support and guidance to staff in the appropriate staffing and allocation of theatre duties.
Assist the Theatre Lead in any grievance, disciplinary, performance or sickness issues as appropriate and in accordance with the hospitals policies and procedures.

Skills & Experience
You will be registered with the NMC or HCPC.
Previous experience in Recovery or Ward nursing at Senior Level is essential.
Evidence of management development and experience is desirable.
