We are looking for senior level Sourcing Managers with a strong background in sourcing of Laboratory Equipment to work for our pharmaceutical client based in Germany.Applicants MUST have experience in sourcing of Laboratory Equipment in a pharmaceutical environment.German speaking is also essential.• As a Global Sourcing Manager you develop the global sourcing strategy for the assigned sourcing area Laboratory Equipment (within Global Category Lab Equipment & Lab Supplies) in line with the global Sourcing and business strategy• You implement the Sourcing Target Operating Model for Lab Equipment into countries with major R&D or QC sites within company global network. Ensure compliance to further optimize spend and reduce complexity• You support the category head in determining how to leverage key organizational capabilities in order to accomplish and implement critical, long-term category strategies within Category Lab Equipment & Lab Supplies• Additionally, you run the sourcing, negotiation and contracting activities, within assigned range to achieve strategic and operational success for our company• In your new role, you manage risk, especially identification, evaluation, classification of sourcing risks and devise risk mitigation measures in order to ensure continuity of supply• In this exciting function, you run best-in-class global (key) supplier management processes within the assigned category• Moreover, you build effective internal business partner relationships to identify saving potentials and to deliver best Sourcing value to the companyRequirements:• Degree (Bachelor or Master) in chemistry, biology or pharmacology with an additional business education or degree (Bachelor or Master) in business education with a strong knowledge of pharmaceutical research and development processes• Minimum of 4-5 years of contracting/ sourcing /purchasing experience in international markets• Strong knowledge of the global market for laboratory equipment• General understanding of research and development processes, intellectual property and compliance issues as well as legal terms• Strong communication, change management and leadership skills• Global and intercultural working experience and willingness for international business trips• A very good command of English and German; additional language skills would be a plusKeywords: "sourcing" "outsourcing" "laboratory equipment"
