hVIVO are currently looking to recruit a Project Director on a permanent contract to join our Project Management team in Whitechapel, London. The Project Director is responsible for the overall conduct of hVIVO projects and is accountable for the delivery of the project to timelines, within budget and to agreed quality standards. The Project Director works closely with their allocated cross functional project team. Project Directors may be responsible for the oversight of Project Managers within the matrix management structure. In addition the Project Director may take on line management responsibilities for Project Managers, as agreed with Associate Director, Project Management. The core responsibilities of the Project Director are: Manage and deliver hVIVO projects to scope (budget, timelines and quality standards) as agreed in the Clinical Trial Agreement and hVIVO standards. Manage the Cross Functional Project Team to the agreed scope, retaining oversight of the overall management of the project including all delegated activities. Provide support to Project Managers, within the matrix environment, to facilitate the project delivery. Oversee the scope management for assigned projects and report status and issues to the AD,PM The core duties will include: Work with the finance team and internal stakeholders to develop and gain internal approval of an accurate budget based on robust assumptions. Provide the contract team with requested information so they can negotiate and execute the Clinical Trial Agreement, including roles and responsibilities agreed between the customer and hVIVO. Advise the Project Managers regarding operational questions, issue escalation and problem solving. Skills and experience required: Biological Science degree or equivalent. A phD would be desirebale Clinical Operations experience Thorough working knowledge of ICH GCP and working familiarity of UK SI regulations An excellent communicator Experience with line management, training and mentoring
