BACKGROUND: Exciting challenge for someone wanting to provide a tangible difference to a top 20 pharma company Fantastic working environment, modern offices. This is a 2 year Fixed Term Contract with the possibility to become permanent or lead to other opportunities within the company’s compliance and transparency group Leadership role: Team of 12 including 4 FTEs and 8 interim staff Budgetary responsibility Working with senior level stakeholders (up to SVP and GM level) PRIMARY DUTIES: Define and execute strategy and vision for the EMEA Transparency Operations, both for short (6 months) and long (12-18 months) time horizons Develop, track and execute Transparency goals and objectives and the Transparency governance framework; drive continuous improvement of related systems and processes Maintain a network of industry experts etc. to build knowledge of EFPIA disclosure announcements, best practice and wider industry updates Act as the ultimate escalation point for EMEA Transparency issue resolution Be accountable for aligning and ‘educating’ key stakeholders to ensure a consistent effective approach Represent Legal on Steering Committees and supports execution of Corporate-wide initiatives Responsible for ensuring strict compliance with the EFPIA Disclosure Code in line with EFPIA disclosure announcements and wider industry updates Ensure standardisation of Transparency policies, procedures, controls and systems across EMEA Develop capability within Transparency team and new Affiliates to deliver compliance goals Ensure existing Affiliates have appropriate expertise to implement and comply with Transparency objectives to ensure full adoption and integration in critical business processes QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent An established career in the pharmaceutical industry in a transparency role Recognised strategic and practical experience in interpretation and application of the applicable Transparency laws and regulations Will consider candidates with UK transparency experience and knowledge of European Transparency but would prefer experience in both Previous compliance experience within the UK, European legal/code of practice area, preferably with knowledge of cross-border /Global reporting differences Previous people management (direct or via matrix organisation) and leadership is essential Experienced in partnering with and managing key stakeholders Experience working with virtual, diverse and international teams, within a complex and large organisation Substantive knowledge and experience with compliance with law, regulations and industry codes relevant to the pharmaceutical industry Proven influencing ability Before you apply for this position it is vital that you are in possession of an EU or UK passport or relevant visa to work without restrictions in the UK.
