Our specialist multidisciplinary team (MDT) delivers individually assessed packages of care that are developed with our patients to support community integration and the retention and development of skills for daily living.

The hospital engages consultants from the NHS on a sessional basis in the fields of medical rehabilitation, neurology and pain management. Day to day medical care is provided by a well-respected local General Practitioner. On-site therapy services are provided alongside Activities of Daily Living (ADL) kitchens, education suite, sensory room and gardens.

The treatment approach at St Neots Hospital which is rehabilitation and recovery dictates that care is ‘person-centred’ as opposed to ‘disease-centred’. A fantastic achievement by the team at St Neots Hospital was the ‘Outstanding’ award in the 2016 CQC report.

St Neots provides:
•12 bedded locked rehabilitation for male patients
•7 bedded locked rehabilitation for male patients
•19 bedded locked rehabilitation for female patients

Registered Mental Health Nurse / RMN - We are looking for all levels including newly qualified, senior nurses and charge nurses.

Our Mental Health Nurse role involves:

Adopting a systemic, individual approach to all patient care plans and communicate the outcomes to the clinical team – both verbally and in writing, ensuring all CPA and risk assessment documentation is kept up to date
Ensuring effective communications of any concerns relating to patient care
Deputising in the absence of the Ward Manager and their Deputy to manage the staffing and clinical needs of the ward as required
Supporting and supervising new or junior staff
Assisting and supporting regional management in developing and implementing new services
Managing the assessment, implementation and evaluation of individual patient care plans while promoting a professional working environment to ensure a high standard of patient care

To be successful as a Mental Health Nurse, you’ll need:

First level registration and valid RMN PIN
Professional training in a related environment
To organise and prioritise own workload
Problem solving skills
