Senior Electronic Design Engineer - Medical Devices - Permanent - Nottingham

SRG are working with a Medical Device developer who are looking for a permanent electronics design engineer to join their team. This role will suit someone who has a background in electronics / electromechanical medical devices or another highly regulated industry.

Role Responsibilities;

This is a senior role within the R+D Medical Devices team and will involve working with a range of electro-mechanical devices. Some examples of the day to day role include;

- Supporting the R+D team in developing new medical technology devices
- Working with embedded software to improve upon designs and create new design work
- Working with PCBs and hardware during design
- Direct engagement with clinical teams, regulatory bodies. device manufacturers and academia

Desirable Skills and Experience;

* Design & Development
* Prototyping & small-scale Production
* Electronic assembly & PCB design
* Software (embedded / interfacing)
* Metrology & Testing
* Safety
* Regulatory Compliance
* Quality
* Project Management
* 5 + Years hands on experience as a minimum

Required Education;

- MSc/MEng education
- Ideally achieved (or be eligible for) Chartered Engineer status

Applicants with alternative but equivalent relevant training and experience in industry and/or academia are also welcomed - skills in areas such as scientific/engineering product design & development, IT (hardware/firmware/software) in healthcare technology, safety-critical regulated environments, and clinical technology research are potentially transferable.
