E.ON Climate & Renewables (EC&R) is responsible for E.ON’s industrial-scale renewable energy activities. We develop, build and operate large renewable energy assets in Europe and North America. Our technology portfolio covers onshore and offshore wind and photovoltaic (PV) solar power.

This is an excellent opportunity to manage Rampion Offshore Windfarm, a 400MW site currently under construction off the coast of Brighton. You will have full responsibility and accountability for the safety, technical and financial performance of the Rampion Offshore Wind Farm whilst ensuring compliance with all relevant internal policies and external regulations. Additionally, you will be responsible for developing the competence and capabilities of your team as well as acting as a member of the wider operations leadership team; contributing to the adoption and spread of best practice throughout the business.

In this role you will be based at the Rampion Operations and Maintenance facility at Newhaven and lead a team of onshore and offshore staff working staggered shifts, 7 days per week.
Qualifications

What do we need from you?

A relevant engineering degree or equivalent, plus extensive knowledge and experience of renewable energy or generation asset operations
Extensive and proven background in asset operations within offshore wind
Experience of managing safety, technical, commercial and legal compliance in offshore wind environment
Experience in project, supplier and contract management along with sound understanding of applicable laws
Experience in managing and driving change involving multiple stakeholders and departments

It would be great if you have;

Strong commercial acumen with the ability to articulate and deliver against a business plan
Strong influencing and interpersonal skills with the ability to develop effective senior working relationships across E.ON and the wider Renewables industry.
Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate with a variety of key stakeholders on a variety of engineering issues.
A comprehensive knowledge of key policies, procedures and process management systems which might affect the strategic development and operation of the Renewables asset portfolio.
Solid planning and organising skills to include effective prioritisation, resource management and a long-term strategic focus.
