Experienced teaching assistant of Autism with PECS and Makaton Experience- Tower Hamlets

START DATE: ASAP
PAY SCALE: £65 -£70 PER DAY
CONTRACT- LONG TERM/PERMANENT

GSL Education are urgently seeking a confident, outstanding teaching assistant of Autism for a vibrant primary school located in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets

Our client is an excellent primary school, which have a focus that every child matters and goes to the heart of their distinctive character, spirit and attitude. Independent learning is valued by the children and there is a clear focus on sure-footed personal development, where social skills are encouraged to flourish. Our client prides itself on their pastoral care for each individual student. They are looking for a driven and enthusiastic teaching assistant to work with challenging ASD students aged between 5 and 11.

The successful candidate will need to be:
• Experienced working with Autistic children and working with Makaton or PECS.
• A hard-working, determined and passionate individual who will persevere through challenges in order to reap the great rewards that can come with supporting an SEN Child
• Someone who has eligibility to work and live in the UK
• Adaptable, flexible and willing to work 1 to 1 with some challenging children to develop good relationships with them
• Pro-active, enthusiastic, energetic with a passion for teaching
