System Support - Production and Materials

Location: Leeds

Type: Contact

Rate: Negotiable dependent on experience

Envisioned Duration: 6 months (likely to be on-going)

You day to day role:

Ensure that the system supports production control by working with the production and materials teams at the depot to ensure that:

* The full set of fleet assets are set-up in Maximo system: All train asset trees and tracked components are loaded and correct.
* The location and status of all "in store" tracked assets are correctly recorded in the system.
* Establish, develop, deliver and monitor short, medium and long term production and material plans and ensure these are entered and complete in the MMS.
* Ensure that fleet campaigns and modifications are correctly planned in the system.
* Ensure that the system data are populated to enable the long term materials forecasting and fleet data for overhauls.

Develop and maintain ongoing MMS support.

* Investigate and resolve transaction problems; e.g. when Technicians find they cannot install the correct components onto a train because it is not shown as being available in the stores.
* Monitor the system "Business Data Interpreter" (BDI) to check the quality of current asset tracking data; e.g. duplicate/missing serial numbers for parts installed on trains. Where gaps or errors are identified work with the production team to correct the data so that there is always an accurate representation of the safety critical parts on the system.
* Monitor the system data quality reports to ensure that Technicians and Stores staff are being consistent and complete in data entry for work orders; e.g. labour hours, remedial actions records, fault code capture. Work with the Production Managers and Stores staff to ensure they understand how to correctly fill in the data going forwards.
* Be a local "champion" expert in the use of theMAXIMO system, as a reference for new users at the depot to help raise overall skill levels.

* Parts fit and remove tracking for the 22 tracked component types
* Tracked Parts configuration at goods inwards following repair/overhaul (bogies)
* Exam scheduling using MAXIMO system
* MAXIMO system usage monitoring/local training

Liaise with Business Systems to highlight system reliability/performance issues and suggest and implement system improvement opportunities.

Assist with the ongoing development of the system: Document additional train maintenance management currently required by the Leeds fleet (non eMMS dependent):

* Process map install/remove procedures.
* Agree and implement install/remove procedures.
* Document and share best practice of procedures.
