Being a construction Lecturer within offender learning can be challenging and yet incredibly rewarding. You need to be someone that can have an empathetic and creative approach to education to engage students with very low self-esteem and little self-worth.

You need to be able to recognise when challenging behaviour is a cry for help and caused by lack of understanding. You need to be able to think outside of the box and produce fun and captivating lesson plans that will grab the attention of even the hardest to reach student. If you can meet these requirements then you could embark on a career where you feel like you have made a real difference to a young person's life and helped them to not only believe in themselves but believe that they can lead a better life free of crime.
