CER Education Recruitment are actively looking to recruit an Inclusion Leader on behalf of one of our Secondary schools on the Wirral. This is a part-time role and it is imperative that the successful candidate is available to start immediately and has experience in behaviour management or as head of year.

The successful candidate will help students to overcome any barriers they may have in relation to learning and ensure that communication between students, parents and the school is maintained and open. An experienced TA/HLTA would suit the role well.

The role will include:

* Contribution to welfare meetings, parents' evenings, training sessions and progress meetings.
* Supporting a range of students with behavioural needs
* Supervising students that have been excluded from their lessons
* Reintegration of excluded children
* Intervention evaluation, reports, records and behaviour plans for members of the Education Welfare team and SLT
* Meeting with the Education Welfare Officer, SLT, parents and external agencies

Any role in SEN can be challenging and as such your daily activity will be diverse. Some of the skills you should have are:

* A commitment to working and supporting students of differentiating abilities.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Managing confrontation and difficult behaviour.
* A firm understanding of the support needs of students with learning difficulties, disabilities or mental health difficulties.
* Excellent organisational skills.
* Good IT skills.
* A firm understanding of safeguarding legislation and the importance of confidentiality.
* A valid DBS registered with the online update service or be willing to apply for a new one.
* Positive, energetic and enthusiastic outlook.
* Minimum of 2 years' experience working within a secondary or SEN school

You will be required to work with pupils with a range of abilities and needs: SEND, LAC, Pupil Premium, EAL, More Able, BESD, etc. Moreover, you should demonstrate the ability to work effectively with the Principal and SLT to achieve excellence. You must also have a thorough knowledge of the new SEND Code of Practice and the 2010 Equality Act.
