** £55-£65 daily pay rate, paid weekly (negotiable based on experience)
** Position contracted until July 2018
** Potential salaried School Direct position available from September 2018

This Academic Mentor position requires a confident English graduate with an upper second class degree at the very least. Ideally you will have previous experience within a school environment, though experience working with young and vulnerable people will be considered. You will be enthusiastic about English and the education system and be looking to develop your classroom skills.

You will be confident in your abilities, proactive and able to build relationships quickly with the skills to communicate effectively with staff and students, adapting your approach to a variety of ages and abilities. This role will see you support a number of students in the lead up to their GCSE's, both individually in class and within small group booster sessions where you will be an encouraging support for them and help further their understanding of tasks. As you develop within this Academic Mentor role will also be offered the opportunity to work alongside teachers assisting them in their planning and delivery of lessons.
