Job Title: Electro-Mechanical Engineer

Location: West Bromwich, West Midlands

Introduction:
Our client is an established manufacturer of their specialised product. They’re now looking for an Electro-Mechanical Engineer to join their team at West Bromwich.

Electro-Mechanical Engineer Responsibilities:
- Preventative, corrective maintenance and fault finding of electrical and mechanical systems including PLC controlled systems, single and three phase supplies, machine repairs, lifting mechanisms, waste systems, hydraulics and conveyor systems as well as diagnosis and repairs across a wide range of manufacturing equipment.
- Attend daily / weekly team support meetings and provide feedback on maintenance related issues.
- Create and work to PPM schedules and undertake any corrective actions.
- Report maintenance downtime issues and analyse equipment to improve performance.
- Undertake and lead small improvement programs as and when required.
- Take responsibility in assigned areas of ownership and provide a monthly progress report.
- Identify critical spares for designated machines and refurbish spares as required.
- Undertake administration responsibilities within the role and liaise with manufacturers and suppliers as required.

Electro-Mechanical Engineer Applicant Requirements:
- Must hold a relevant electrical / mechanical engineering qualification (BTEC, City & Guilds, NVQ).
- Working knowledge of hydraulic systems.
- Lathe / Milling machine operation would be advantageous.
- Working knowledge within a FMCG, production, or manufacturing environment would be advantageous.
- Health & Safety conscious (Manual handling, fire safety, asbestos awareness, working at heights).
Desirable:
- Requirements for Electrical Installations (City & Guilds 2382)
- 17th Edition Wiring Regulations
