The Role
Due to continued success and growth, my client are now looking to expand their Sales department through the recruitment of) Internal Sales Person in Hemel Hempstead.
Working as a part of our internal team, the aim of the role is to provide support for the external team and also to work proactively targeting repeat business from our historic customers and repeat customer accounts.
My client offer service on all manufacturers equipment and therefore have need to identify parts for this work, we would therefore aim to grow this role into a support function for our existing business development activities in this area.

The Candidate
We are looking for a commercially aware person with an understanding of engineering or service products, following guidelines you will prepare quotations for our customers requested by Field Sales Engineers and our Service Technicians for fixed price work.
Competence in various software programs (MS office, Outlook, SAP, Lotus Notes and web based utilities)
Importantly you will bring a motivated attitude to succeed and develop within the organisation, always looking for areas of improvement to help grow our business and improve efficiency.
The successful candidate will be extremely driven, with the confidence to lead the way and motivate others.

Scope of the Role

• Plan and prioritise personal sales activities and customer/prospect contact to achieve agreed business aims, including sales and profit, managing a busy schedule through effective priority setting in order to maximise productivity.
• Undertake proposals, including the calculation of sales prices to achieve targets.
• Support the external sales team by generating proposals for the renewal, extension or upgrade of existing contracts.
• Support the external sales team by generating proposals for ad-hoc and fixed price service.
• Support sales by providing technical advice to both existing and potential customers.
• Maintain regular contact with all customers’ especially key accounts.
• Develop and maintain good customer relationships at all levels within the area and ensure an excellent standard of after sales service is provided.
• Provide effective sales data, including the timely recording of quotation platforms and order ratio’s (including lost order reports) and analysis of sales performance again targets.
• Actively seek to improve our efficiency and sales performance through innovative means.
• Maintain and develop existing and new customers through appropriate propositions and ethical sales methods, and relevant internal liaison, to optimise quality of service, business growth, and customer satisfaction.
• Develop and deliver presentations to enhance the company image and increase sales.
• Liaise with colleagues and other parts of the group to co-ordinate activities where appropriate to ensure that sales are obtained.
• Look up part numbers in parts books.
• Effectively use the CRM system in order to maintain a 360 view of our customers.
• Attend training as required to develop relevant knowledge and skills.
• Adhere to health and safety policy.
• Undertake ad-hoc project work as required.
