CDS Recruitment are working with our client who are looking to recruit an experienced Production Administrator.
The main purpose of the role is to work alongside the Supervisor and Team Leaders to organise the workflow internally and externally. In addition, communicating throughout the department in order to maximise production efficiency.
Highlight any hazards or areas of improvement surrounding Health & Safety to the relevant personnel.
Follow all policies, process flows and standard operating procedures in respect to Health, Safety, Quality and Environment.
Continually seek to improve the way we work in terms of process / systems / cost savings etc.
Maintain the highest level of 6S. Lean ways of working
Analyse production plans, prioritise works orders to meet the needs of the business
In conjunction with Production Departmental Supervisor, devise labour plans to deliver production schedule
Communicate work to lists and labour plans to shop floor staff
Prepare document packs in advance of works order commencement comprising of works order documentation and any relevant drawings
Check availability of materials, tooling and drawings in advance of commencement of production
Maintain information of the ERP system, including collected data, WIP booking analysis and works order completion procedures, works order start dates.
Communicate with production staff to keep abreast of production, utilising scheduling system
Determine availability of subcontract production, raise purchase orders, organise transport and expedite accordingly
Communicate with Quality Assurance department to arrange inspection prior to packing / despatch
Examine shop floor stock, physically and ERP system stocks. Investigate variances and correct as necessary Initiate and maintain production board
Maintain adequate levels of consumables items in the production area (drills, grinding discs, PPE etc.)
Assist with sundry KPI/Stocktake duties as required, including auditing
Deliver ERP system training as necessary and assist in system problem and queries
Propose new Sales Order delivery dates as part of Contract Review
Perform all other duties required by your manager within the appropriate skill level.
