TUV SUD Product Services are a world leader in testing and product certification and have an exciting opportunity for a Graduate Engineer to join our EMC Test team based in Bearley, just outside of Stratford Upon Avon.

Working as part of the Bearley EMC Test Cell, the role of Assistant (Graduate) Engineer will predominantly focus on test engineering on a combination of consumer and industrial products both onsite and in-situ. The role will also include helping to improve and reduce waste in the testing processes, requiring the initiation of efficiency improvements and involvement in continuous improvement projects.

The successful candidate will also have the opportunity to join our Graduate Development/Progression Scheme to ensure a full understanding of all business functions and operations.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• EMC testing in both Screened Enclosure and In-situ.
• Recording test results using various electronic logbook systems and production of test reports, following company quality procedures.
• Help with the development of test methods and other departmental documentation.
• Working closely with customers during attended testing.
• Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with the applicable regulatory requirements or defined test plan supplied by the manufacturer.
• Helping to develop and refine test plans with the customer.
• Close liaison with the Project Manager to ensure work is carried out accurately and within the timescales allowed.

Essential Criteria:
• Educated to degree level (or equivalent) in Electrical and Electronic Engineering
• An interest in working in a test environment
• Motivated and enthusiastic, with a willingness to learn
• Flexible approach to work – willing to work overtime or on customer sites as and when required
• Practical approach with the ability to multi-task, addressing testing in parallel with reporting
• Good IT skills i.e. Microsoft Office, Word, Excel
• Ability to deliver work independently or as a team to defined deadlines
• Good commercial awareness
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
• Due to location, a Full UK Driving Licence

Desirable Criteria:
• Experience using general RF test equipment such as Spectrum/network Analyser, Signal generator, RF Power meter, cellular test set etc
• Completion of an industry placement year relevant to their studies

Own transport is advisable for this role due to the location of the Bearley site
