The Position:

Applications are invited for an Engineering Team Leader at our Exeter Site. This is a full time permanent position working 40 hours per week.

As an Engineering Team Leader your duties and responsibilities will vary based on the Company’s requirements but will include:

• To supervise the engineering/maintenance teams.
• Ensure the Health, well-being and safety of personnel through implementation of the site Health and Safety Policy.
• To be self-motivated and lead by example.
• Provide mechanical engineering expertise and impart knowledge and skills.
• To oversee the planned preventive maintenance systems and ensure any maintenance/repair requirements are planned and executed to a high standard.
• To have a “hands on” and analytical approach to trouble shooting, problem solving and fault finding and carry out engineering/maintenance tasks as required.
• Ensure the group purchasing policy is adhered to including the availability of engineering spares / resources / stock.
• To be involved in purchasing, cost and budget control for the plant (Engineering Department)
• To be responsible for maintenance of the steam raising plant.
• To ensure pressure systems and lifting equipment meet legislative requirements for this type of equipment (Maintenance and inspection)
• To coordinate and Supervise any Engineering projects as required.

The Person:

• You must be educated to a good level or equivalent level of knowledge acquired through experience and training/development.
• Trained in ether a mechanical or electrical discipline.
• Have Process and Industry knowledge.
• A good understanding of Health & Safety legislation within the workplace.
• Previous experience of supervising day to day operations.
• Proven ability to conduct routine fault finding with experience of PPM systems.
• Good oral and written communication skills, have a strong work ethic and attention to detail.
• Flexible attitude to working environment and working hours and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
