GDPR Consultant - 3 months


£600 per day

A fantastic opportunity has arisen to work with the market leader in e-commerce who is urgently looking for an experienced Data Protection or Data Privacy professional to aid in preparing the business and over 3000 employees for the upcoming legislation change in May 2018 and execute their GDPR Project plan.

You will develop an understanding of the business' operational processes and have the ability to advise a business not only in the planning but also in the delivery of the project and the management of key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

* Inform and advise on data protection laws and policies;
* Carry out Data Protection Privacy Impact Assessments on business functions and projects;
* Manage a program of staff awareness-raising and training in order to deliver compliance and foster a culture of data privacy within the business;
* Review commercial agreements and contracts; including Data Processing agreements with existing and future data processors;
* Provide updates on the data protection compliance programme to the Executive Leadership Team or to Post Holdings as appropriate;
* Create and lead data breach response and notification procedures;
* Ensure data processing agreements are in place with third parties handling personal data;
* Devise and implement an internal system for reporting actual or suspending data security breaches.

You will have a strong background in Data Protection, and come from either legal, IT Security or Compliance.
