Net Temps are currently recruiting for a Clean Water Site Engineer based in Birmingham on behalf of our leading Construction client.

Our client has six operational divisions, providing focused services to customers across five chosen core market sectors: Construction, Power, Highways, Telecommunications and Water; providing engineering, construction management and front-line delivery services.

Net Temps are looking to recruit a Site Engineer who holds good experience within the clean water infrastructure sector to aid their delivery of high value contracts within the Severn Trent Water region.

You will be working alongside the Site Manager/Agent will engage to enable the most efficient and cost effective approach in delivering outstanding projects while maintaining the highest standards of health, safety, quality assisted by the commercial team.

Main duties:

* To ensure Health & Safety are paramount importance
* Regularly review project status ensuring all options have been considered and evaluated to improve construction performance
* Co-ordination of all site control and surveying on the site
* Procuring and maintaining surveying and setting out equipment
* Daily co-ordination and analysis of survey/settlement and monitoring results. Distribution of the results to all stakeholders, implementing contingency plans if necessary
* Checking and distribution of drawings/documents and quantities and ensuring that any calculations are accurate for the works
* Helping with the selection and procurement of materials for use in the construction and their value
* Planning the work and efficiently organising site teams in order to meet an agreed programme of deadlines
* Liaising with any consultants and/or sub-contractors engaged in the project
* Attending regular meetings with clients and consultants, and keeping them informed of progress
* Supervising and monitoring the site labour force and monitoring the work of any subcontractors
* Overseeing quality control, ensuring all inspection and test forms are completed and recorded in a timely manner
* Resolving any unexpected technical difficulties, and other problems that may occur
* Engage with supply chain
* Quality assurance
* Helping to ensure all project KPI's and KPM's are achieved
* Upload documentation as and when necessary in line with business requirements to Cfolders to ensure latest documentation is always available
* Ensuring compliance to clients standards

Skills & Experiences required:

* An industry applicable qualification
* Experience working on a Clean Water Framework
* Working knowledge of CAD would be favourable
* Working knowledge of Microsoft packages
* Self motivation
* Be able to organise yourself
* Be able to work in a strong team environment
* EUSR Water Hygiene

Start date: 18.01.2018 (Handover)

Duration: 2 years (Freelance)

Location: Birmingham, B31
