The role of the Part Time Machine Maintenance Engineer is to oversee all mechanical and electrical work on site. There are 15 machines in total that need general maintenance carried out on.

General duties; maintain all machinery as per maintenance schedule. Creation and updating of maintenance schedule. Creation and follow up of on-line maintenance program. Liaise with outside service contractors. Maintain good standards of housekeeping. Completing all required paperwork in an accurate and timely manner. Build crates for shipping. Assist with general building tasks. PAT testing. Calibration of equipment. Occasionally you may be asked to work in other areas. Targets set on performance relating to Health & Safety and on time maintenance completion.

Counterbalance forklift experience is needed and a refresher can be given with relevant training.

In terms of general building maintenance, you may need to carry out such duties as changing light bulbs, adjusting doors, replacing wall heaters. For more technical work you will liaise with a Building contractor to carry out the work.

Qualifications are not essential, but experience of mechanical and electrical maintenance is. Some basic testing may be required, but the role is mainly maintenance of machinery.

Hours will be 8am to 4pm between Monday and Friday (7.5 hours/day) 3-4 days per week. Pro rata salary 20-27k for a 3 or 4 day week. Full time equivalent up to 34k
