An opportunity has arisen for an Engineer to conduct vehicle-based measurement tests on all types of vehicles.

Essential Skills,
Experience &
Degree Educated.

Vehicle testing experience

Knowledge of Data Acquisition, DEWESoft, IPETRONIK, Racelogic, Influx, LINK, LMS, HBM etc.

Knowledge of sensor types and applications.

Vehicle network systems - CAN, LIN, FlexRay

Vehicle diagnostics - OBD, UDS

Knowledge of electronics and circuitry

Knowledge of vehicle mechanical systems

Computer literate with Microsoft Office applications.

Confident when dealing with customers both face to face and on the phone.
Full UK driving licence (motorcycle, HGV or PSV advantageous)

SC clearance or ability to achieve this (UK national with residency in the UK for the last 5 years)

Job Description: You will be involved in the whole vehicle test process, from initial customer contact and quote compilation, through to presenting test results to customers and information provision for invoicing.

Working within a small team of engineers and technicians to coordinate customer test activity.

Specify vehicle instrumentation in order to meet complex customer requirements.

Make engineering judgements regarding the performance of the customer test vehicles and quality of test data.

Conduct (sometimes complex) analysis and validate data and lead investigations into sources of errors, resolve technical issues.

Work with approval authorities on witnessed type approval testing including participation in worst-case discussions.

The successful applicant will follow the testing life cycle including work planning, procedure / legislation research and issue of test instructions and instrumentation requirements.

The Engineer will provide technical support to technicians and generate in-depth data analysis using various software.

Salary: Negotiable, depending on previous experience
