Technical Operator required for one of the largest Utility companies. They recognise that investments in both employee development and working environment drive them forward as a modern, innovative and ultimately industry leading operation.

The role will be 08:00-16:30 Monday to Friday with the potential to work a Saturday if requested with prior notice and have a day off in the week instead.

Technical Operator - Objective:

To undertake tasks and inspections on the department's assets and the Company's Estate, in a safe and efficient manner in line with Company policies, procedures and standards. To carry out routine inspections and maintenance of the Company's dams in line with the Reservoirs Act, or as directed by supervision/management.

It is intended that this person will primarily assist the treatment technicians with daily routine first line maintenance of the process and carry out site inspections of ground water reservoirs.

Technical Operator - Key Responsibilities:

• Undertake inspection and maintenance of the Company's raw water impounding reservoirs and estates

• Take ownership of estates work, proactively ensuring sites are kept clean, tidy and safe.

• To carry out routine tasks on treatment sites (including cleaning, testing, inspections, measurement and maintenance) and accurately complete records using the Company's RAM system or as otherwise instructed

• Supporting Treatment Operators and Technicians in carrying out their workloads as required

• To identify, resolve and record details of asset issues, failures or breakdowns using the Company's RAM system or as otherwise instructed

• Ensure that all procedures and policies are implemented and adhered to (including Health, Safety, Environmental and Company)

• Effectively engage and work with all internal and external staff to assess, maintain or improve departmental assets, processes or procedures to drive quality improvements

• Attend all required meetings, training and assessment sessions

Technical Operator - Knowledge, skills and experience required:

• Risk Assessment trained

• COSHH/Chemical handling trained

• Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing

• Team player able and willing to work with staff and contractors

• Experience of working in a hands on operational environment

Location: Wrexham

Pay rate: £10.52ph
