Our client is a large chemical manufacturing company with a number of plants globally.

They have a top tier COMAH chemical manufacturing facility in the North Lincolnshire area and are looking to appoint a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer on a permanent basis.

In this role you will be responsible for the delivering of day to day maintenance service and support to the manufacturing plant. You will provide technical engineering assistance to the plant personnel, including production & maintenance supervisors, maintenance technicians, manufacturing engineers and planners.

You will be responsible for providing technical input into inspection findings to ensure continued fitness for service of static & rotating equipment and to ensure repairs conducted are compliant to code. You will be proactive in ensuring timely asset replacements, either through capital or revenue, ensuring no disruption to the plant. You will work with plant Reliability Engineers to improve plant reliability by systematic identification and rectification of poorly performing equipment or processes.

As part of a multi-disciplinary team operating a top-tier COMAH site, occupational and process safety activities are key, and you must be able to demonstrate capability in both of these areas. You will also be responsible for ensuring maintenance activities within your areas of responsibility are conducted to the correct site, national and international standards.

This role is ideal for someone who is looking to gain more experience to support future progression.

Essential Criteria

Degree qualified in mechanical engineering
Experience of working on a highly hazardous heavy engineering plant
Good knowledge of Health and Safety legislation

Desirable

Chemical plant manufacturing work experience
NEBOSH qualification or equivalent
Chartered Mechanical Engineer
