Reporting to the Customer Insight Manager, this role has a remit to design and implement customer and stakeholder research and reporting requirements to support business plan delivery, provide content for reporting to the customer panel and to ensure customer and stakeholder feedback is available to be embedded in business plans.

The role will deliver elements of the nationwide customer research strategy, ensuring all research undertaken is delivered to a consistent standard, working with the business as a research subject matter expert. This will involve extracting and manipulating data, pre and post campaign analysis and onward reporting in a clear, concise way to provide actionable insight.

Operating as a key business partner you'll work closely with internal stakeholders to truly understand their business areas challenges, and be able to understand and translate that into insightful and actionable analysis that will result in improvements.

Knowledge/experience

* A proven track record in delivering research and insight programmes
* Knowledge and understanding of all qualitative and quantitative market research methodologies, data collection methods and types of research available and their application to action within a communications and stakeholder sphere
* Experience and awareness of progressive communication approaches, ability to embed industry best practice and new ways of working to improve engagement with customers and stakeholders
* Experience of statistical modelling and data mining

Whilst you'll have the analytical skill set, you'll be able to translate analytical thinking into 'easy to understand' commercial concepts and be confident in presenting technical information in a variety of mediums to colleagues.

You'll be highly competent in Data Analysis using SAS, SQL or equivalent and Statistical Modelling using SAS Enterprise Miner, KXEN, R, Python, Emblem or equivalent

As well as;

* Educated to degree level in a numerical discipline
* Experience of influencing stakeholders to own way of thinking
* Competent in MS Office - particularly Excel, Word and Powerpoint

Desirable Skills

* Campaign Selections processing, using SAS CI Studio or similar.
* Previous experience of web reporting/analytical tools
* Previous experience of Machine Learning
* Previous experience of BI tools such as Cognos, Tableau, Qlikview or Power BI
* Previous Experience of GIS Software
* SAS Certification
