What is the purpose of this role?

The Controls and Energy Manager will be responsible for analysing current energy usage identifying opportunities for improvement and developing the operational energy management plan in order to provide proper environmental conditions with cost effective energy utilisation.

What will this role involve?

Pursue an aggressive program to reduce site costs for energy
Assume responsibility for compiling and maintaining energy reports
Utilise consultants when necessary to identify energy conservation measures
Pursue funding sources for equipment retrofits Maintain liaison with equipment suppliers in order to conduct bidding process for equipment upgrades and retrofits
Monitor all facilities design and construction activities as relates to energy management Implement the policies established by Government policy in the area of energy conservation
Provide regular reports as to the overall effectiveness of the energy management program
Demonstrate support for the site's management policies and expected
Occupant behaviour related to energy management and safety programs
Take the initiative to develop needed professional skills appropriate to job assignments
Demonstrate behaviour that is professional, ethical, and responsible and serve as a role model for all site staff
Be adaptable in roles, multi-tasking when necessary
Work closely with all colleagues and enhance the team value
