Sports Tutor – SEND; Complex Needs – Manchester
£70 - £125 per day

PK Education’s Manchester branch are working with a special college in the Manchester area in order to recruit an enthusiastic Sports Tutor.

This specialist provision is part of a large charity and caters for young people aged 16 to 25 with a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). They are looking for a positive tutor to plan and deliver a bespoke sports program to small groups of students with a flexible approach, adapting activities to suit the needs and abilities of individuals. Pupils have a variety of SEND including complex needs, physical disabilities and learning difficulties; so the ideal candidate will have experience in these areas. Alongside the friendly staff team you will be responsible for creating a positive and safe learning environment for all students.

To be considered for the Sports Tutor role you must have:

Recognised teaching qualification PGCE or equivalent (QTS/QTLS).

Excellent subject knowledge, specialising in Sports / PE

Experience and understanding of a range of SEND and complex needs.

A positive attitude and flexible approach.

Additional requirements:

Reference details will be requested prior to registration.

Current DBS registered with the DBS Update Service – if you do not have a DBS registered online PK Education will provide full assistance in getting you one.
