Are you inspired by art, passionate about working with young children and keen to spend more time outdoors? Do you love searching pinterest, teaching blogs and Instagram for great ideas? Do you want to work with a fun and supportive team? If so you might fit right in to our nursery. We are looking for an educator to lead the ‘Atelier’ or Creative studio in our beautiful nursery. The right person will have a background in creative or visual arts, dance or forest schooling who wants the chance to put their fantastic ideas into place. You will support our children’s learning and creativity by providing thought provoking and unique learning experiences.

About you:

· You may have an art degree, art history degree, qualifications in fashion / science/ sport/ film making.

· You may have an early years qualification at Level 3 or above or Forest School Level 3.

· You will be passionate about developing the highest quality experiences for our children to help them grow in confidence and self-directed learning.

· You will be inspired to develop your own training further, through courses, independent reading and on the job training.

· You will have excellent spoken English

· You will be a real team player with a ‘can-do’ attitude

· You will have a short commute to Clapham

Key Responsibilities

You will be responsible for the ‘atelier’ working directly with children and ensuring that there is a broad range of creative experiences available for the children at all times.

To extend the children’s learning experiences by enabling them to work on long term projects and ideas

To help our children develop their own projects children providing a wide range of “intelligent” materials giving children the opportunity to express themselves in as many ways as possible

Developing staff awareness of working with children to encourage their learning through creative expression, individually, and as part of a group
To take the learning outside the nursery as much as possible
