Hunter Global are recruiting on behalf of a prestigious client for a Facilities Manager to cover various client sites across the South/West of England.

Job Purpose -
• Supporting non-core engineering and facilities services, providing a professional service to the customers’ Depot Managers and Account Manager and where applicable working in conjunction with the site Engineering Teams.
• To provide effective delivery of reactive maintenance and the upkeep of the site facilities, services and infrastructure, ensuring maintenance and statutory compliance of the site assets.
• Responsibilities will include the planning, coordination and leadership in the completion of day-to-day reactive, planned maintenance work & minor project work in contract, controlling the clients appointed contractors visiting the sites to undertake outsourced specialist services. Also, to assist with plant and equipment improvements which contribute toward site improvements; health and safety and / or technical corrective actions. Finishing this process for close loop with local financial management, forecasting and reporting for client sites.
• The role will require local contract and client management to work abreast with the core contract agreement, ensuring contract achievement through contract set KPI’s & SLA’s along with championing compliance improvements and works, development the FE modules system.
• Driving a better service for the key stake holders/local budget holders.
• Working closely with the clients to develop further within the contract. Developing with larger projects team through site managers and projects team to gain capital investment programs.
• To develop and drive new sales in line with FE sale plan, targeting new clients, engaging with and generating opportunities for the wider business.
• To lead new and existing business requests in the area for projects, undertaking local project management where needed.
• Liaise with Stakeholders on all improvement actions (H&S / Technical / Engineering)
• Build and develop relationships at all levels with client team
• Lead by example and support the clients Team
• Contribute toward improvements in breakdown reduction & asset availability
• Ensure facility is compliant with current legislation
• Support the Client’s site Engineering functions
• Drive financial planning and reporting with stake holders.
• Manage minor project work where required and appropriate
• Develop new business in-line with FE sale plan.

Responsibilities –
• When necessary able to work hands on, leading by example.
• Ability to effectively delegate the electrical, mechanical and buildings maintenance tasks to the outsourced specialist service providers and/or mobile technicians, in a manner that upholds the quality of the operation, focusing on safety, productivity, cost effectiveness and the preservation and improvement of the buildings and site assets within the FM scope.
• Broad knowledge of local Service Providers and their capabilities.
• Oversee the installation and maintenance of electrical installations, pipe work systems and related ancillary equipment providing, hot & cold water, heating, cooling, refrigeration, compressed air waste management services and buildings, etc.
• Work with the team to develop the team’s and own capabilities, driving multi-skill and cross fertilization of better working practices to continuously improve maintenance capability and effectiveness.
• Continuous review and improvement of Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) practices, content and frequency.
• Continuous review and recommending improvements to the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
• Scheduling, planning and management of reactive and routine maintenance and the inputting of up to date information into the CMMS.
• Ensure root cause analysis and problem-solving techniques are carried out to maximise the efficiency and safety of the depots.
• Ensure safe and efficient plant operational compliance with Client and legislative Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental requirements
• To be available for on-call duty and attend site as necessary when called out, forming part of the company’s escalation process for the client.
• To work in accordance with the client’s and on-site health and safety operating procedures
• To cover other members of the team during holidays and periods of absence
• Effectively communicate with Client and own Team
• Contribute to minor project works as required
• Manage appointed Subcontractors and outsourced Service Providers
• Liaise and engage with Client Account Team, site Stakeholders and any other nominated persons, to prioritise workload and understand business needs.
• To prepare Monthly Reports, schedule and chair Monthly Performance Review Meetings with the Client’s Account Team, site Stakeholders and Service Providers’ Operational Managers.
• Regular communication with clients Management and back office staff.

• Develop and maintain key working relationships with all site teams and contractors active on contract to be improvement of the client delivery.
• Communicate, to appropriate people, information obtained on such subjects as customer activities, competitor activities, problems and opportunities in a timely and effective manner.
• To utilise company systems to facilitate effective communications: e-mail, telephone and fax.

Quality, Environmental, Health and Safety -
• Ensure all operational procedures, safe working practices and Health and Safety procedures are adhered to.

Qualifications / Education / Training -
• It is essential for you to hold current H&S qualifications: IOSH Working (or Supervising) Safely or Contractor Safety Certification Scheme (CSCS Card) or equivalent/higher
• Ideally hold 1 or more Electrical Qualifications - Installation competence: C&G 2330/2351/2355 or C&G 236 Parts A&B or C&G 2360 Parts 1&2 or C&G 2365 Level 2&3 or 2356 NVQ with a recognised Apprenticeship with Certificate for the Requirements for Electrical Installations BS 7671: 2008 (2382- 12, 15 or 20); for 17th Edition Wiring Regulations Electrical Inspection and Testing: C&G 2391-10 or C&G 2394/2395
• Will ideally have Mechanical engineering competence and experience – Exposure to gas, heating, HVAC systems
• Legionella L8 management is not essential but is beneficial
• Asbestos Management is not essential but is beneficial

Essential Knowledge and Experience -
• Proven contract/technical management experience for engineering/hard services contracts, preferably within the FMCG sector.
• Experience managing planned and reactive work order management systems across multi-site locations.
• Contractor management, commercial and compliance/site monitoring.
• Experience of food manufacturing &/or distribution industry
• Understanding and working knowledge of computers, software packages.
• Understanding and working knowledge of maintenance regimes, record keeping, auditing requirements, Lock Out Tag Out.
• Good working knowledge of Health Safety and Environmental responsibilities, PUWER, LOLER, etc

• Competence and experience of facilities and utilities services - i.e. compressed air, refrigeration, cooling towers, HVAC, Water Services, Waste Management, Electrical Services, etc
• Competence and experience in quoting chargeable work and working within budgets
• Awareness of Health and Safety requirements / Permit to Work (PTW) procedures
• Ability to suggest and provide feasibility reports on improvement initiatives and plans
