What you need to know about the role
Reporting to the Process Fuel Engineer – Distribution you will be part of a team that is responsible for managing the infrastructure of the steelworks process gases, mixing stations and gas supply network. The team monitors efficiencies and energy consumption across the site, identifies opportunities and works with plant personnel to encourage continuous improvement.

Your principle responsibilities will be assisting the Process Fuel Engineer in ensuring the gas systems are working effectively and efficiently across the site.

The role involves site work troubleshooting operational issues.

What we need to know about you
- You should have experience of working in a large manufacturing environment. Knowledge of high pressure and low pressure gas systems is desirable.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal is essential along with excellent IT skills.
- Experience writing Operational Procedures is desirable, although training will be given. A willingness to assist with field work is also required.
- Qualifications in Chemical/Process Engineering or an Energy related discipline would be an advantage, as would further qualifications in maths or statistics.
- A knowledge of a steelworks or similar manufacturing environment, works arising gas systems and ancillary process gasses would be advantageous
