Job Purpose
Reporting directly to the Manager the role of Telecare Technician (Apprentice) is to Install Assistive Technology Equipment and regularly keeps up to date with new technologies.
The successful candidate will be required to install all types of Assisting and monitoring equipment for Mental Health, Vulnerable and Sensory loss people within the community.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Work in accordance with company policy
• To Install telecom equipment in a timely & professional manor in the Clients home
• Demonstrate Telecare , Telehealth , Sensory loss equipment in a confident and detailed manor .
• To be familiar with the equipment before installation commences and recognise its potential.
• To ensure the equipment is correct and suits purpose for installation.
• Any other functions deemed essential by NRS to show improvements in frequency of installation and upgraded equipment.

Key Attributes

• full driving licence preferable
• Have a desired knowledge of Assistive Technology as training would be given
• Excellent communication skills both written & verbal
• Knowledge of use with power tools and hand tools
• Strong team working skills as well as working alone
• Confidence in communicating with Vulnerable, Mental Health , and Sensory Loss people
• Planning & organisational skills
• Highly self motivated individual
• Pro Active
• Computer literate
• Ability to research new technologies and understand it’s concept and put into practice
