Job Purpose:
Maximise the sales and profitability of our clients air compressor business across all sales channels by promoting sales to new and existing customers, in accordance with agreed business plans through effective use of the telephone, internet and social media platforms.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities:
1. Plan and prioritise personal sales activities and customer/prospect contact to achieve agreed business aims.
2. Undertake proposals, including the calculation of sales prices to achieve targets.
3. Maintain regular contact with all customers’ especially key accounts
4. Support the external sales team by generating proposals and follow up activities
5. Support sales by providing technical advice to both existing and potential customers.
6. Develop and maintain good customer relationships at all levels within the area.
7. Provide effective sales data, including the timely recording of quotation platforms and order ratio’s (including lost order reports) and analysis of sales performance against targets.
8. Actively seek to improve our efficiency and sales performance through innovative means.
9. Maintain and develop existing and new customers through appropriate propositions and ethical sales methods, and relevant internal liaison, to optimise quality of service, business growth, and customer satisfaction.
10. Effectively use the CRM system in order to maintain a 360 view of our customers.
11. Attend training as required to develop relevant knowledge and skills.
12. Adhere to health and safety policy.
13. Undertake ad-hoc project work as required.

To work extensively with the existing team, and can be expected to be in regular contact with our sales teams, customer support team and distribution partners.

Be organised and take ownership of tasks, to successfully complete work to a consistently high standard.

The role is dynamic in its nature, often requiring great flexibility in line with business line and company objectives.

Perform ad-hoc tasks and project work as required.

There shall be two positions available covering the North & South of UK Mainland, each position shall be based from Head Office at Warrington.

Degree/HNC/ONC qualification OR equivalent

Must have an engineering or Sales background (ideal if both).
Must be adept in use of MS Office or later.
Self-driven, results-oriented with a positive outlook and a clear focus on profitable sales.
Competent and confident; ability to modify style in order to achieve results and maintain effectiveness. Reliable, tolerant, and determined. Empathetic communicator, able to see things from the other person’s point of view. Well presented and businesslike
Lives within geographical area and able to commute reliably to office base.
Have a good telephone manner and proactive personality
Have an understanding and an ability to use technical/professional knowledge and information.
Able to promote, develop and maintain a culture conducive to quality throughout the organisation and to improve its performance.
Understand and demonstrate an awareness of the link between their role and the business.
Able to positively persuade, convince and impress others in order to achieve results.
Able to express ideas and receive and exchange information clearly.
Able to establish and implement a systematic course of action to achieve an objective effectively and efficiently.
Maintain clear focus on customer satisfaction; take action when needed to meet the expectations of the customer.
