Shift Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer / Shift Multi-Skilled Technician

Commutable from Brigg, Caistor, Doncaster, Gainsborough, Grimsby, Lincoln, Market Rasen, Newark, Retford, Scunthorpe, Wragby.

Salary and Benefits: £35,363 + Overtime + Pension + 20 days holiday

Company Information:

My client is a market leading company who operate in a specialist market who supply to a wide array of different industries. The site has a mix of modern state of the art technology and some older heavier machinery. My client needs to recruit an M/S Maintenance Technician the existing team to work on a 4 on 4 off shift rota doing 4 days in a row on, 4 off and 4 nights in a row on and then followed by 4 off. The successful candidate will be working in a team of three working alongside an Electrical Technician and Mechanical Technician.

You must have the following:

- Must have experience working as M/S Maintenance Technician

- Must have served a recognised Engineering apprenticeship.

- Must be prepared to work a 4 on 4 off shift pattern, 4 days on, 4 off, 4 nights on, 4 off

- Must be competent in both Mechanical and Electrical fault finding

- Candidates must be able to work under pressure

- It is essential that the candidates have some form of Electrical qualification

- Must have some experience of PPM and/or TPM and Continuous Improvement

Role Information:

The role will be a multi-skilled position and will vary from reacting to breakdowns, carrying out pre planned maintenance and working on projects. The candidate will be working on various equipment including conveyors, pumps, boilers, extrusion machinery, silos, fans, pneumatics and hydraulics all within an automated environment. The candidate will have to carry out a range of Mechanical and Electrical duties including stripping down machinery, working on pumps and hydraulics, working on 1st and 3 phase Electrics, Testing and rewiring motors and doing some PLC work.

Key Tasks and Accountabilities:
 Ensure all Engineering Breakdowns (irrespective of priority) are identified and subsequently rectified as quickly as possible
 Responsible for maintaining the highest standards of housekeeping (within specified areas)
 Practice & encourage others to deliver the highest standards of Health & Safety at all times and ensure that all plant and ancillary equipment is maintained to these high standards
 Ensure all recording systems for work completion are correctly compiled with all relevant information detailed
 Assist the Operations Manager in minimising machine down time by proposing & introducing improved maintenance programmes & continuous improvement ideas.
 Responsible for timely completion of all plant PPM schedules and to provide support for all site wide PPM programs
 Ensure good communication avenues are prevalent between the Engineering Teams & or to the Operational teams
 Work as part of a multi-functional Mechanical / Electrical on-site Team
 Any other adhoc duties as required
