This company is charting new territory for its award-winning engineering consultancy services. Leading the way in offshore marine, oil & gas, subsea, equipment, defence, renewable energy and associated sectors it has a progressive expansion plan in the UK & beyond. This serves a broad range of clients including oil & gas operators, drilling companies, specialist vessel operators & public-sector bodies. You will support the business stream operations activities from fabrication through to commissioning and handover.

The primary responsibility of the Health & Safety Adviser is to advise and support all company locations, projects and sites, in respect of Health and Safety, Quality and Environmental activities in order to achieve compliance, with the requirements of UK legislation and the requirements of ISO 9001, 14001 & OHSAS 18001 (soon to be ISO 45001).

Key duties include, but are not limited to, the following and will depend on the project under management:-

- Accountable for ensuring HSE standards and processes are implemented efficiently, within all company locations, projects and site(s) activities.
- Responsible for assisting in the development/implementation of the HSE execution file for projects and site(s) operations.
- Support managers in verifying that all project personnel are fully conversant with the specific HSE Project requirements, including completion of project specific HSE instructions, toolbox talks, risk assessments & Job safety analysis.
- To ensure all work equipment is compliant with HSWA, LOLER, PUWER requirements.
- Support the development & implementation of HSE improvements throughout all company locations, projects and sites.
- Complete internal, supplier HSE compliance audits at all company locations & site(s) activities in accordance with internal/project requirements, recording, reporting & managing all findings within the internal HUB system.
- Support the QHSE Manager in the preparation of internal Board papers & Management Reviews, producing QHSE reports and bulletins, as requested.
- Participation in QHSE meetings, if requested, with a view to raise & discuss HSE concerns and record managed actions.
- To be a vital member of any significant incident investigation team, assisting the QHSE Manager in managing & conducting incident/ accident investigations & monitor any corrective/preventative actions.
- Responsible for collating & reporting all incidents/ accidents, near-miss incidents & safety interventions/ observations from all company locations, projects & site.
- Responsible for maintaining and updating the Company's Display Screen Equipment (DSE) assessment software, recording all findings.
- Responsible for presenting HSE training, when required, for all company locations, projects & site(s) to increase awareness, performance and understanding of HSE processes.
- Responsible for keeping up-to-date, with current & newly enacted HSE legislation. & reporting any developments to the QHSE Manager.
