We are recruiting for a Food Technology/Textiles Teacher with Qualified Teacher status to join the team at a "Good" OFSTED rated secondary school based near Hemel Hempstead to enrich the learning and development of their KS3 & KS4 students.
The Food Technology/Textiles Teacher will have excellent knowledge of the national curriculum and have a real passion for their chosen specialism.
The position is to start April 2018 or sooner for the right candidate and will include planning and assessment. As a Food Technology/Textiles Teacher you should be able to ensure all students have the opportunity to achieve their full potential and show a wide variety of skills to be able to create a calm engaging environment that all students are able to excel. The successful Food Technology/Textiles Teacher will have excellent subject knowledge with the ability to create engaging and innovative lesson plans, as well as demonstrating effective teaching methods.

Required Skills and expertise
- Ability to Food Technology/Textiles to KS3-4
- Valid QTS or NQT status
- Proven skills in the classroom
- Firm curriculum knowledge
- Current CV outlining recent teaching experience
- 2 recent Teaching referees (in a leadership position)
- Eligibility to work in the UK
The salary will be dependent on experience, in line with the main pay scale and upper pay scale.
