English Teacher needed for ASD school in Southwark

Prospero Teaching are working alongside a Special Educational Needs School in Southwark, South London, looking for an English Subject Teacher to start immediately.

The age of the students is secondary and the needs are Autism Spectrum Disorder. Some students have mild Autism, some are more severe, and many have an additional diagnosis of conditions such as Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder (ADHD).

This role is initially on a temporary basis lasting for the rest of this term, but there is the possibility of a permanent position being offered down the line. Experience in a Autism Spectrum Disorder school is highly advantageous, but not essential. If you are a strong Teacher from a mainstream background, your application is very welcome.

* Special Educational Needs School providing for Secondary age students
* Provides for students with Autism Spectrum Disorder and some additional conditions such as ADHD
* All students have Individual Educational Plans - big focus on individual provision for each student
* Students should be working at the same level as their mainstream counterparts
* Some students may exhibit challenging behaviour
