KennedyPearce is recruiting on behalf on nationally recognised train line company who are recruiting a Payroll Supervisor/Manager. The role will be in a small payroll team running the internal payroll process. Ideally someone with experience of high volume payroll.

Purpose of the Job

  • Full administration for 1 x 4-Weekly Payroll and 1 x Monthly Payroll (circa 660 employees) to ensure that they are delivered accurately and on-time.
  • Full Administration of transnational data for the 4-Weekly & Monthly payrolls via iTrent HR/Payroll system.
  • Complete reconciliation of transnational data as part of the final preparation of the payrolls.
  • Processing of Starters/Leavers & contract changes via iTrent HR/Payroll system.
  • Accurate processing of statutory payments; including SMP, SPP, SSP, ShPP
  • Complete RTI submissions ensuring that statutory reporting requirements are adhered to.
  • Complete Occupational Maternity Pay and Statutory Maternity Pay schedules
  • Completion of Pensions Auto-Enrolment within each payrun.
  • Work in collaboration with Human Resources to ensure that sickness self-certifications & Fit Notes are supplied to allow payment of Occupational Sick Pay.
  • Process employee expenses claims ensuring that the Company Expenses policy is followed.
  • Completion of End-of-Year P11D submission payroll aspect of PSA.
  • Raise the monthly PAYE payments to HMRC.
  • Completion of Pensions Auto-Enrolment within each payrun.
  • Complete pension returns and liaise with our Pensions Management company as and when required.
  • Act as a Systems Administrator for the iTrent HR/Payroll System, creating user profiles for new starters and dealing with system queries.
  • Analyse, interpret and share payroll data with the Finance team.
  • Maintain a cash flow forecast for the anticipated payroll cost on a periodic and annual basis
  • Other Adhoc payroll duties where required
