Head of RE Department - Job Specification

You will be an adaptable and personable Middle Leader who is able to effectively manage the team of teachers within the RE department. You will be confident in your own ability to lead the development of Religious Studies, resources, schemes of work, marking policies, assessment and teaching and learning strategies within the department.

About the Head of RE Department role

The successful Head of RE Department will be required to raise standards of student attainment and achievement within Religious Studies and closely monitor and support student progress. You will be accountable for developing and enhancing the teaching practice of teachers within the RE Department. You will have a reduced teaching timetable within RE and wider Humanities.
