MAINTENANCE MANAGER - INJECTION MOULDING / PLASTICS

An excellent and integral position has come available for a multi-skilled and driven Maintenance Manager, with excellent problem-solving ability and injection moulding or plastics experience, to join a tier 1 automotive manufacturer supplying into prestigious OEM's such as Aston Martin, Bentley, Ford and JLR to name but a few.

COMMUTABLE FROM:

Birmingham, Burton upon Trent, Cannock, Dudley, Lichfield, Stafford, Sutton Coldfield, Tamworth, Walsall, West Bromwich, Wolverhampton

BENEFITS:

  • £35k - £40k per annum (negotiable DOE / Injection Moulding or Plastics specialism)
  • 39 hours - Mon-Thurs: 7.30-4pm and Friday: 6.30-2pm

THE ROLE:

As the successful Maintenance Manager you will take responsibility for the maintenance function with key duties to:

  • Effectively manage and drive forward a team of 3 Maintenance Engineers
  • Troubleshoot and correct any breakdown issues
  • Plan and Manage TPM Schedules
  • Develop a strategic spares list for key equipment
  • Prepare budgets and forecasts for maintenance work
  • Ensure all Health & Safety policies are adhered to
  • Set and monitor departmental KPI's with the objective of improving efficiencies
  • Identify areas of improvement and cost reduction

THE CANDIDATE: The ideal Maintenance Manager will be competent in working within a fast paced manufacturing environment, effective in taking responsibility for a full maintenance function and have:

  • Injection Moulding or Plastics industry experience (essential)
  • Proven track record of working in a similar role within a fast paced manufacturing environment
  • Robotics and automation experience / skill set (highly desirable)
  • Strong man-management and in-house systems experience
  • Excellent problem-solving ability
  • Multi-skilled capability - stronger Electrical skill set / bias (desirable)
  • City & Guilds 17th Edition or relevant HNC (desirable)
  • NEBOSH qualified (beneficial)
  • A dynamic and driven approach, management style - someone who can move the department forward
  • Ability to effectively communicate and engage with people across all levels
