We have a new job in Banbury for an IT Helpdesk Assistant, working for our well-established Oxfordshire legal client.

The Role

Provide internal IT help desk support throughout the business, providing full support & coaching, network & server support

Who are they looking for?

The ideal candidate will be highly technically minded, as well as having strong people skills, able to communicate effectively with staff members on IT issues and resolutions

Key Roles & Responsibilities

  • 1st Line IT support, managing support incidents through to resolution
  • Regular communications on progress of support incidents
  • Element of on call 'out of ours' 1st line support
  • Installation of software & hardware
  • MS Office application support
  • Assisting in deploying new systems, together with associated staff support
  • Liaise with third parties on server & communication issues
  • Server administration & keeping documentation up to date
  • Assist with case management, looking for ways to improve efficiency

Skills & Experience

  • Basic IT 1st-line support knowledge / experience
  • Technically-minded
  • Understanding of servers
  • Reliability
  • Good verbal communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Initiative
  • Sound decision-maker

Able to work on a rota basis between 08:30am - 18:00pm. Also ocassional requirement to work extended hours to complete work. In these cases, time in lieu will be given
