IT Service Desk Engineer
About the Role
In this role you will be instrumental in providing IT support to circa 480 users. In addition, you will assist with the management of the company network, servers and end user incident requests. Your core responsibilities will include:
- Acting as a main point of contact for all support queries coming in via the RoydsWithy King helpdesk software
- Accurately logging and triaging all support queries, taking ownership of the incident from the point of logging through to resolution
- Creating and maintaining knowledge based articles on the firms service desk system
- Regularly visiting other office locations to provide support
- Carry out administrative tasks relating to the set-up and shut down of starters and leavers
- Providing out of hours support on a one week in four rota
- Assisting the Service Desk Manager with any Ad-hoc project work
Skills & Experience:
Previous experience of working in an IT support position
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Windows Operating Systems
Experience or knowledge of BigHand, Elite, Worldox and Visual Files is desirable
Windows server, Citrix and VMWare experience would be advantageous
